A heart,
starless and breathless,
still goes on beating.
Its rhythm ripples through a space,
our limbs carry the weight of its shadow
the spirits blink and yawn
stirring and crackling
they long to connect
they invite you to move in harmony
with the residual,
with all that’s been left behind
From a young age, multidisciplinary artist Mimi Libro has felt a connection to that which exists beyond the physical world. In her creative practice, she navigates the delicate thread that ties us to the unseen - where energy, memory and presence converge to shape her reality.
In this exhibition, Mimi looks to honour the subtle energy that lingers in a space - intangible but undeniable. Letting the outside in, Mimi’s body of work will be guided by the residual hum, the echo of moments past, held in the bones of At the Above gallery. Rather than forcing a rehearsed narrative or clinging to a fixed outcome, Mimi will surrender to the karmic pull of the room through fluidity and intuition that reflect the present.
Her collection holds a mirror to the essence of At the Above - reflecting all that came before her.
