This body of work marks Mim Libro’s first international solo exhibition, presented in Milan (ITA), and is an exercise in trust. During a time made up of many different endings, Mim Libro chose to embrace the energy of uncertainty, releasing expectations of how things should look: a work, a practice, a life. In moving away from fixed plans and toward a space of improvisation, Libro began to see what happens when control gives way to intuition.
With fresh permission to fail, flow and change shape, Libro found herself returning to a place of curiosity with her practice, a renewed sense of deep instinct and internal trust. While her style remains familiar with large-scale works of stark black and white figures, one can see a shift toward looser, more playful choices with vibrant experiments in colour. This complex palette reflects a rich transformation from force to surrender.
Through these works, Libro invites the viewer to embrace the unknown and trust the inner voice, to move without fear of where you’re going next.
